The BU Focal Supplier Performance Manager (SPM) is a vital link between BU sites, Regional Office Supplier Performance, Commodity Management/Work Transfer, NPI, Supplier Quality and other functional teams – supporting supplier OTD/Quality performance, material flow and overall strategic sourcing strategies. The SPM is the primary supplier performance focal supporting compliant measurement, analysis, and management of supply base performance and related efforts impacting material flow, cost reduction, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Business Supplier Performance/Delivery Assurance Strategy
  • Monitoring Supplier Performance/Strategic Countermeasures/Playbook Effectiveness
  • Supplier Readiness/Supplier Health/Supplier Surveillance
  • Buffer Stock Alignment/Audits
  • Supplier Performance/Delivery Assurance Training/Development (site/supplier)
  • Strategic Sourcing Strategy/Rationalization Support
  • Integrative Continuous Improvement/QCPC Manager
  • SRA Planning and Execution; Passport Approval
  • Metric Development, Validation and Reporting

  • Special Projects
  • Execute the SP/DA overall strategy for the BU Pillar Sites – RO Touch/Non-RO Touch
  • Serve as BU/Pillar DA/SP focal and liaison to Regional Office and a point of escalation for SP/DA concerns
  • Focus on supplier performance and delivery assurance  to ensure excellence in OTD, Quality and overall supplier performance that supports material flow to customer demand
  • Drive cross-functional engagement to remove roadblocks as necessary to improve supplier performance
  • Develop and implement key standardized processes across the BU; identify and implement supplier performance process improvements and deployment of delivery assurance solutions
  • Monitor supplier performance (OTD, Quality, Material Flow, Capacity, Buffer, LTA Compliance) and facilitate supplier escalation reviews and get to green plans through recovery; drive risk mitigation  and alignment efforts that prevent suppliers from meeting performance targets
  • Manage collaboration with other departments as necessary with regard to meeting customer requirements, taking advantage of sales opportunities, or minimizing negative impacts on the business where there are shortages; facilitate solutions to complex issues such as coordination of shipments, sub-process suppliers, and technical assistance to ensure on-time delivery,

  • Supply Chain, Materials Management, Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering and/or Quality/Supplier Quality experience
  • Proven capabilities in procurement practices, supplier assessments, supplier development and/or customer support 
  • MS Office skills required; demonstrated ability to create spreadsheets complete complex analysis; presentation skills and ability to present to customers and suppliers
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, self-starter, takes initiative, problem solver, team player, adaptability, analytic skills, etc.
  • Experience  leading change implementation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
