This position is for an experienced Manager, Global Trade Licensing professional to manage export / import licensing activities in a fast paced and stimulating export / import environment.
This position provides strategic guidance and planning to achieve international business growth by
developing licensing plans, providing guidance for complex licensing strategies, program planning, and assuring regulatory compliance for the Land Warfare and Air Defense (LW&AD) Mission Area.
The Global Trade Licensing position reports to the Senior Manager, Global Trade Licensing for LW&AD.
In addition, this position requires interaction with various internal functions and U.S. Government agencies in obtaining the necessary U.S. Government export / import licenses, agreements, permits, certifications, technology release authorizations, and jurisdiction and classifications assignment.
This can be a remote position supporting the LW&AD Mission Area of RMD. This opportunity provides exposure and visibility in the field of Export Import operations and its strategic impact on global growth and success.
Responsibilities to anticipate:
•Manage strategic business engagements, planning and execution at Mission Area or major program areas to ensure business execution, growth and compliance
•Primary interface on interpretation of regulatory requirements or company export / import policies and procedures for specific capture opportunities
•Prepare, obtain, maintain, manage and monitor applicable licenses, agreements, permits, certifications, technology release authorizations, and jurisdiction and classification assignment in compliance with applicable US Government regulations and company policies
•Assess and review functional/program data and metrics, proposals, contracts, and/or purchase orders
•Participate in technical programmatic discussions/meetings with program areas
•Ability to participate in multi-functional teams working on export/import issues with an ability to drive issues to conclusions
•Maintain records of current and expired license files, and issues reports on pending and approved licenses/approvals
•Actively participates in selection, training, mentoring and development of GT Licensing Analyst
•Participate in and lead special projects, cross-functional business projects and corporate projects to support business objectives
•Support export/import compliance activities (e.g. self-assessments, internal and external audits)
Qualifications you must have:
•8 years of prior relevant experience
•Prior experience with and in-depth knowledge of the ITAR and EAR
•Ability to travel as required
•Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
•Ability to think strategically and integrate export/import requirements with company's international business strategy
•Ability to navigate changing US Government and customers conditions
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to present recommendations to solve business challenges
•Ability to problem solve, work under time sensitive circumstances, and to take the initiative to address situations before issues arise
•Ability to drive results, prioritize and make independent decision.
•Ability to manage priorities of multiple complex tasks
•Attention to detail and follow through on assignments to achieve desired results
Qualifications we value:
•Prior experience as an Empowered Official
•Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
•Knowledge of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE)
•Experience with broad export / import experience and increasing responsibility (licenses, agreements, compliance, and transactional activities)
•Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, OCR EASE IT systems a plus
