Job Title: Microsoft 365 & Sharepoint Administrator

Summary of Role:
Reporting to the Productivity and Desktop Service Delivery Manager this brand new team is responsible for providing all productivity, desktop and collaboration services to the end user community.
In addition to supporting and retiring legacy systems, this exciting opportunity will administer the newly implemented Office365 platform and evolve the capability to provide further collaboration and productivity tools to the organisation as we continue our cloud and technology transformation.

Main Duties:
MIcrosoft 365 and SharePoint administration
  • Ensuring the operational health of the SharePoint environment including security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability
  • Maintenance/sustainment of all existing and new SharePoint sites and sub sites, lists, libraries, and content (including pages, workflows, and items)
  • Create and Maintenance os sites, sub sites, lists, libraries, and content etc
  • Administer and support an enterprise-level infrastructure and application portfolio
  • Event Management and responding to alerts, determining the most appropriate course of action
  • Administration, support and configuration of MS Office O365 tenant
  • Liaison with 3rd party maintainers and partners to ensure the successful delivery of service
  • Usage and Performance reporting
General IT: End-user support and training for hardware and software
  • Delivery and support of all generic desktop and collaboration applications
  • Delivery of specialist (Engineering / Manufacturing) tools and applications working in partnership with the respective support function(s)
  • Provide Out of Hours support (P1) on shared rota
  • Working in partnership with the Servicedesk and Workplace services team, new user setup and orientation including installing and configuring virtual workstations, software, telephone services, network printing, etc.
  • Provide Request for Service, Incident, Problem and Change Management support
  • Troubleshoot Operating System, network and storage related issues
  • Creation of knowledgebase articles to aid Incident Management and Self Service in addition to user guides
Operational Security, Maintenance and Governance
  • Responsible for logical and physical controls of the company’s platforms and assets by supporting compliance audits, corporate policies, technical policies and Active Directory
  • Perform software upgrades and patches (bios, firmware upgrades, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot various Office 365 issues including connectivity and mobility
  • Conduct routine monitoring and analysis to include audit log reports, backup, system and storage utilisation reports, site and system usage, growth reports, and manage site collection quota settings

Desirable:
  • Experience of working in Aerospace and Defence or regulated industries
  • ITIL Foundation and relevant technical qualification(s) such as;
    • Office365 administration and site development
    • Sharepoint Web and Development skills
    • Active Directory
    • MS SQL
    • Data Management
