Our Collins Aerospace Systems Production team in Tulsa, OK is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support our Cloud Services, Strategic Business Development and Platform Engineering team. In this role you will perform Cloud Services as well as help provide system design input, build physical and virtual server farms and networks. In addition you will provide field support with Pre-Installations and troubleshooting.

This position is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A relocation package will be provided once we go back to the office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work within AWS deploying applications

  • In-depth system requirements analysis.

  • Remote staging of VMware and Hyper-V systems.

  • Remotely troubleshooting complex software applications installed in a variety of enterprise environments.

  • Provide high-level factory support to worldwide deployment teams, first-level site administrators and second-level factory support personnel.

  • Writing technical bulletins, whitepapers, building technical diagrams, installation guides, etc…

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in design, implementation, and support of client/server software architectures and enterprise applications is required.

  • Candidates must possess the technical and organizational skills necessary to facilitate the installation, configuration, documentation, training, and support of specialized Information Systems.

  • Experience with Microsoft server operating systems is required and experience with Linux server operating systems would be a plus.

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DFSR, DHCP, IIS, Cluster Server, NLB.

  • Experience with Virtual environments (VMWare and Hyper-V).

  • Experience with Databases such as SQL Server, SQL Express , Oracle, or Oracle XE.

  • TCP/IP protocol suite experience is necessary.

  • Experience with Imaging software such as Ghost and MDT is required.

  • PowerShell, Rudder, Ansible and SQL scripting and automation tools experience is also required.

  • Backup technologies such as Symantec Backup Exec and IDR.

  • Antivirus software like McAfee E-Policy Orchestrator and Windows Defender.

  • TeamViewer, NetSupport, DameWare or other remote access/remote control software

  • Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Access, etc.

  • Server hardware configuration and installation with equipment by manufacturers such as HP, Dell, IBM, etc.

  • Ability to work within a multicultural team environment (or perhaps a “culturally diverse” international community).

  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects such as Servers, UPS units and tape backup units.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding and familiarity with Cloud technologies is preferred

  • Ability to work within an AWS cloud environment

  • Understanding of ISO processes, Technical writing skills, Troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Experience with Security Best Practices.

  • Familiarity with PCIDSS and other security standards such as ISO 27001.

  • Patch Management.

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies RedHat, OpenShift, Mongo, Postgres, Elastic Search, etc…

  • SAN technologies.

  • Data Replication/Mirroring/Failover software such as CA ARCserve RHA.

  • Wireless hardware configuration and installation with equipment by manufacturers such as Cisco.

  • LAN hardware configuration and installation with equipment by manufacturers such as Cisco.

  • Prefer a candidate with a college or university degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM)

  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
