NOTE: This position can be based at or near our Tucson, Arizona site (preferred), or remotely within CONUS.
  • The DT (Digital Technology -- formerly Information Technology) Portfolio Resource Specialist is responsible for partnering with representatives from multiple disciplines and across leadership, to ensure Portfolio Management maximizes the business value of DT. The individual in this role will support the Resource Capacity and Utilization sub-team as well as Portfolio Metrics processes to help generate business outcomes and maximize business value. Theability to define and implement reporting requirements is key to this role.

Key Job Functions:

  • Support the creation and implementation of DT Resource Utilization Framework
  • Support the reporting of resource requirements and capacity utilization for Project & Lean Portfolios
  • Support the reporting of resource requirements and capacity utilization for Service Portfolio
  • Support the development of, and communicate resource status reports and metrics for DT Resource Capacity & Utilization to support the overall health of RMD DT
  • Support the coordination of DT Integrated Planning for resources within the scope of the DT Project & Service Portfolio
  • Collaborate with DT Leadership and DT Finance on DT Risk & Opportunities processes related to resource requirements and utilization in support of RMS DT health
  • Support work in process (WIP) limits to optimize portfolio flow
  • Document internal enablers, templates, and checklists to include change control process as necessary
  • Prepare and present reports and metrics at applicable leadership forums
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions related to resource requirements and utilization to meet financial and strategic objectives
  • Implement changes to existing team tools to support changing business needs
  • May assist in hosting of Leadership Forums
  • May assist with the development of project deliverables, plans, and artifacts
  • May perform project management activities on one or more projects
  • May assist with capital coordination and execution
  • Provide additional assistance on ad hoc requirements

Required Skills/Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, to include:

  • Defining and implementing reporting requirements for IT resources (hardware, software, personnel)
  • Project portfolio management
  • Partnering across directorates to affect changes in behavior related to charging compliance
  • Setting priorities related to human capital in order to balance resource needs across projects, value streams and services
  • Qualified Raytheon R6s Specialist or ability to complete Specialist Qualification within the first 2 years of employment.
  • US Citizenship is required

Desired Skills/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to create new reports (Tableau) leveraging Raytheon's Design Patterns
  • Ability to update and manage team tools (SharePoint) leveraging Raytheon Design Patterns
  • Ability to modify existing reports and tools in order to balance changing business needs
  • Have practical knowledge of project management and ability to execute Continuous Improvement efforts
  • LEAN/Agile experience.
  • Scrum/Kanban experience
