Job Description

Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager II Investment Analyst to join our growing our Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) organization. The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting R&C with overall investment planning and execution. The primary tools utilized is the Enterprise Raytheon Pipeline Manager (ERPM) platform and Tableau. In addition this role will also help to lead the overall Selling and Bid & Proposal (B&P) Investment Strategy through our Concurrent Planning process.

This role with be responsible for ensuring the integrity of investment data and it’s alignment between investment decisions and Mission Area contributions to the RMD portfolio. As integration of this data provides the foundation for improved investment decision making, the Manager II Investment Analyst will analyze trends, develop metrics, and support investment decision making through the application of various Return on Investment (ROI) techniques with predictive analytics and Pipeline health as the measures. This role will also be challenged to understand RMD investments in the context of the defense acquisition process. They will also work across the R&C team to ensure full stakeholder understanding of investments.

Lastly, as part of the RMD concurrent planning process this role will support the integration of investment strategies across the functions including R&C, Finance, and Engineering.
  • Manages and coordinates Investment activities along with the R&C Ops leads between the Mission Areas
  • Educates and provides subject matter expertise and guidance to leaders across RMD concerning New Business Investment (NBI), investment analysis and tools
  • Manages day to day Selling and B&P incremental funding to ensure alignment to RMD execution goals
  • Assists in investment analysis and tableau reporting as need for effective R&C execution
  • Leads projects at the RMD level to improve Pipeline Health
  • Partner across R&C, Mission Areas, and other Functional leaders on specific projects to drive growth and innovation
  • Use presence, credibility, and skill to build trusting relationships at all levels of the Organization and the Enterprise.
  • Demonstrated strong team member, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time criticality.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our primary tools, specifically ERPM to drive R&C operational objectives
  • Ensures data integrity between Pipeline, Long Range Plan (LRP/5YP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Current year execution.
  • Business acumen, strong analytical skills and sound judgment, with the ability to influence team behaviors to achieve results.
  • Candidate will need to ensure compliance to Company Policy(s).

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years’ experience relevant working experience with a background in financial analytics
  • Experience with Excel (including pivot tables) and Excel Financial Models
  • Experience with Tableau or other visualization software
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to interface with Executive Leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Strong communicator (written and verbal) and ability to translate data into information with ability to clearly present and be used and understood by other functions
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Competence in computer skills: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, Sharepoint, Dynamics CRM, PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Highly organized and strong project management skills.
  • Understands the decision making process across the Enterprise. Interacts with other businesses, as required, to leverage collaborative solutions
  • Knowledge of RMD and Enterprise products / capabilities
  • Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships at all levels of the Organization both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Six Sigma (GB or BB) and or Lean qualifications.
