The Director, International Government Relations, North Asia will serve as a key interface in North Asia. This position will need will report to the Regional Leader, Asia- Pacific, International Government Relations.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Lead the development and maintenance of relationships with relevant senior-level officials in North Asia (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Mongolia) to advance Raytheon Technologies business interests in both defense and civil aviation segments
- Advocate with North Asian officials in support of all activities of Raytheon Technologies in North Asia to include: defense policies, procurement regulations, manufacturing regulations, research and development support, MRO regulations, tax policies, labor policies and trade issues.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and provide timely intelligence and advice to BUs and corporate offices on political, economic, social and military developments in the region.
- Serve as the internal expert advisor for defense and security policy and regulations in the region.
- Raise profiles of Raytheon Technologies and its business units with external stakeholders, in collaboration with Communication and business units
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- University degree plus at least 15 years relevant experience or 12 years’ experience with an advanced degree
- A minimum of ten years in progressively responsible leadership positions.
- Previous government, legislative or corporate GR experience in the subject region
- Advanced communication skills in English; fluency in Japanese or Korean a strong plus
- Demonstrated team leadership and ability to partner and influence broad constituencies.
- Deep understanding of the political, economic, commercial and social environment in the subject region

- Leadership values and behaviors, and the experience and ability to partner with a wide range of constituencies
- Strong familiarity and working relationships with in country companies and partners
