Performs a variety of electromechanical assembly tasks during the manufacture of PC based Image Generators and Display systems for use in Simulation products. Provides rework/repair solder and prototyping support for Production, Service and Engineering teams.
Assembles components, sub-assemblies, and upper-level assemblies used in Image Generators (PC-based) and projection systems per engineering instructions and drawings.
Uses soldering/model shop skills to provide rework/repair support for Service Center and Engineering staff.
Uses safe handling practices of components used in circuit card assemblies, PC's and projector systems.
Works in a computer-based environment using Office software applications, internet interfaces, and Enterprise Resource Planning tools to retrieve documents, record data and view policies and procedures.
Uses proper crimping, soldering and torque techniques while using a variety of hand tools to build product.
Works from schematics, drawings, work instructions or Engineer’s instructions to build, inspect and repair simulation products.
Meets scheduled customer commitments and be flexible with priority changes.
Complies with Ethics and Environmental, Health and Safety programs
Demonstrates a cooperative attitude and interface positively with others.
Effectively communicates work status to team members and support staff
Reads, writes, speaks and understands English
May perform other job duties as required and be available for overtime as necessary
Must be a U.S. Citizen
HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
Basic soldering skills required.
Experienced with handling PC materials, hard drives and mechanical assembly highly preferred.
Familiar with SAP or other ERP tools.
Soldering skills including thru-hole, surface mount, BGA replacement and PCB cuts and jumpers.
Familiar with implementing Lean practices.
Exhibit attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
