Perform essential duties as member of the Pueblo Carbon Quality team, acting as focal for manufacturing issues, product review and disposition, corrective action implementation, and process improvements.  Employee will be asked to work independently the majority of the time, with guidance and timelines, to meet objectives and deliverables. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities

  • Develops and implements Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets.

  • Develops organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving and directs implementation.

  • Provides expertise in production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for key quality improvements.

  • Leads collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources to develop quality strategy and programs.

  • Drives quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.      

  • Train site personnel in quality concepts, changes in process, improvement projects, and other related topics.

  • Assist in the development of Quality procedures and processes to improve product quality, increase departmental efficiency, reduce/eliminate inefficient processes

  • Complete other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulation

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in the aerospace, aviation, or automotive industry preferred.

  • Lean management tools familiarity.   

  • Auditing experience preferred, AS9100 experience ideal.  

  • Experience in measuring and reporting key quality characteristics and objectives including PPM, COPQ, product testing, etc.

  • Experience documenting with MES/SAP or similar tool as well as experience creating Corrective Action Reports.

  • Understanding of Root Cause and Corrective action management and application.

  • Ability to measure, analyze and assess complex processes.

  • In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $68,850 to $93,150; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
