Digital Workplace Architect

This Exciting position will be responsible for delivering Digital Workplace architecture services to drive user experience transformation, moving RTX from legacy solutions to newer digital platforms.  This is achieved by creating and/or aligning efforts, principles, blueprints, and standards inclusive of information management and analysis, office automation, and system integration.  Scope of role includes but is not limited to developing technology strategy, integrations into and wth other digital platforms, including conceptual and logical network architectures, hardware and software standards, roadmaps, and project consulting.

Job Duties & Responsibilities  

Assess business and application requirements for digital workplace initiatives. Provide business unit consultation, along with development of logical and conceptual architectures. Set architectural guidelines and standards for digital workplace technologies along with integraton with other platforms such as M365, Workday, and ServiceNow Lead and/or participate in platform design activities and projects to help drive change in support of global, regional, and domestic initiatives. Follow solution architecture / design throughout the lifecycle to ensure the delivered solution adheres to the design or where the design may need to be modified. Develop specifications for Infrastructure engineering to build the architectures and  participate in design-related problem resolution Collaborate with other architecture disciplines to ensure all high level designs are comprehensive, complant, and viable. Participate in emerging technology research. Ensure all solutions meet appropriate CMMC or local government requirements In all areas of responsibility, the incumbent is responsible for providing full compliance with the “Company Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government” and the “Company Code of Ethics”, which include, ensuring subordinate staff are aware of the policies and that their responsibilities and actions comply and support these policies. In all areas of responsibility which have direct impact on the health and safety of employees and the environment, assure that appropriate safeguards are in place and that the "Company Policy and Principles on Human and Natural Resource Protection" is fully supported and implemented. Responsible for the completion of specific goals, objectives, and tasks related to this position as assigned by RTX management.

Qualifications 

  • Passion for technology; service mindset is a must
  • Minimum 10+ years of designing and integrating digital workplace solutions
  • Certified architect preferred
  • Proven experience of architecting and designing large scale digital workplace soutions
  • Proven experience of managing & delivering digital workplace architectures for large scale transformative technology programs to enable business growth
  • Proven experience collaborating across the enterprise to resolve complex technical issues
  • Proven experience in evaluating technical standards and associated impacts
  • Strong communications and influencing skills
  • TOGAF and ITIL knowledge
  • Well versed in productivity software and in crafting professional presentations
  • Microsoft O365 integration knowledge
  • Experience working in a multi BU, Global company is a Plus

Education

  • Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelors Degree +10yrs experience, or an Advanced Degree +7yrs experience.

Location:

Richardson TX, Billerica MA, Newington, CT or remote with travel to other company locations as required (approx. 30%)

Required Status:   US Citizen or US Person required as work may involve visibility to ITAR related projects.
