The coordinator is responsible for the creation of all Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) bills of lading for both government and Foreign Military Sale shipments. Ensures that company and U.S. export compliance rules and regulations are being followed. Works with government transportation systems and interfaces with government representatives to process outbound shipments. Communicates daily with internal company personnel, external government personnel and freight forwarders. Ensures export compliance and processing of government shipments. This position is also responsible for authorizing the payment of transportation invoices in the Syncada system. Familiarity with hazardous shipping documents, DD1149, DD250.
This role will also support the flow of goods and services to meet customer and Program Management Office (PMO) schedule requirements. The coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily logistics requirements and requests of their respective program (s). This includes supporting the program lead and working with warehouse functional leads to support program requirements. The coordinator creates activity logs in the asset management system, tracks program priorities and helps to disseminate logistics priorities to the functional warehouse and quality leadership for the purpose of meeting program schedules and objectives. The coordinator may attend program related meetings, supports the collection of data and metrics to aid in logistics budget and EAC analysis and represents the program in the absence of the program lead.
•Minimum of six years related experience.
•Extensive knowledge of company and U.S. export and import requirements
•Must be Independent and able to work with Limited Supervision
•Must have exceptionally strong attention to detail and communications Skills
•Must be extremely organized and have the ability to prioritize and respond to sudden changes in priorities
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project
•Prior experience in a logistics and transportation environment
•Familiarity with hazardous shipping documents, DD1149’s, and DD250’s.
•A multi-tasking self-starter
•Must be willing to work in a warehouse environment when required
•Must be able to lift 50lbs.
•Knowledge of Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS)
•Familiar with SAP/PRISM
•Understand how to perform V-lookups and Pivot Tables in Excel
•Previous experience analyzing budget data
•Previous experience with SRM and RFM orders
•Previous experience working in the Government Electronic Transportation Acquisition (ETA) and Shipping instruction request (SIR) Systems
Required Education (including Major):
•High school, secondary school or equivalent.
