Position overview
The manufacturing engineering intern be offered a variety of opportunities involving process improvement, tooling and fixture design, automation, and other related manufacturing engineering-related activities. The intern will typically support one or more experienced engineering and may assist with completing tasks and projects, shadow the engineer, and be assigned specific tasks to support completion of tasks and projects.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create or modify 3D models from 2D drawings, pictures, measurements of actual objects, or other sources of information.
  • Create or modify process instructions, including standard operating procedures and part/process specific instructions.
  • Determine tools or equipment to use to achieve manufacturing or process goals.
  • Train production employees on manufacturing procedures and practices.
  • Use established tools and methods to perform ergonomic evaluations on processes and workstations.
  • Audit existing processes for opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote lean manufacturing practices and assist with continuous improvement activities.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and rules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
