The Monroe, NC Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to support the MRO site. In this role, the candidate will supervise a team of technical / business support and/or production / maintenance employees in the Materials and Logistics area.


  • Directs inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation, receiving, shipping, and warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management with a hands on approach

  • Sets, communicates and manages day-to-day operational objectives for team, to ensure hourly metrics are met.

  • Supervises the activities of hourly workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials to ensure efficient movement of material and regulatory compliance. 

  • Ensures practices and procedures are followed by direct reports.

  • Conducts inventory control, analysis and classification according to material management procedure to ensure effective logistics deployment.

  • Champions continuous improvement by measuring KPIs and implementing lean tools to improve tact time

  • Ensures appropriate staffing, training, and evaluation of departmental personnel insuring skill levels to meet the needs of the business in the most efficient manner and improve standard work and cross-area work where possible.


  • Desire a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, related University Degree or equivalent experience (Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations and 2 years of Logistics supervision).

  • Must have prior, demonstrated experience.

  • Comfortability with using metrics to support the business and support performance management.

  • SAP or similar transactional processing

  • Ability to resolve logistics transactional processing issues

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and leadership skills. Must be able to help develop and monitor key performance measurement (metrics) while maintaining defined service levels, and prepare various Logistics reports in support of internal, government, program and organizational requirements

  • Responsible for developing strategies to address continuous improvement and organizational best practices, identifying and analyzing logistics process deficiencies and providing solutions to address a variety of complex inventory, warehousing, shipping and scheduling requirements

  • Must possess strong verbal and communication skills, and a well–developed ability to constructively work across functional areas and levels to achieve results

  • Must be adaptable to working multiple tasks, have flexible schedules to meet deadlines and schedule commitments

  • Proficiency in MS Office such as Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, positive attitude both internally and externally

  • Passion for excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience supporting operational excellence in Aerospace or Automotive industry, is strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of SAP software system
