We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong FPGA design experience to join the MFRFS Product Line in McKinney, TX. The MFRFS product line utilizes state-of-the-art technologies and real time computing architectures to provide next-generation radar capabilities to our customers.

The MFRFS Product Line is unique because the small, but agile, team is simultaneously working in all phases of the program lifecycle (proposal, design/development, production, and sustainment). The MFRFS Product Line is a rapid-prototype development and build environment that allows Raytheon to send much needed radar products to the warfighter for battlefield protection and situational awareness.
As a Senior FPGA Design Engineer, you will solve complex technical problems in the areas of radar digital control system design and integration. You will work within an integrated product team to support all phases of FPGA development: architecture, component selection, requirements definition, development, integration, testing, and production support.
This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or G10, based upon the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- 6+ years of experience relative to the required skills listed below
- Experience with development in VHDL
- Experience with Microsemi Libero, Intel (Altera) Quartus and/or Xilinx Vivado development environments
- Experience with requirements flow down and requirements development
- Experience with FPGA simulation, regression testing, and verification
- Experience with system integration
Required Education (including Major):
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics other relevant STEM-related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience
- High speed data link design (PCIe, 1/10/40/100 Gigabit Ethernet)
- FPGA or ASIC System on Chip (SoC) design and integration
- FPGA IP Cores using Quartus Qsys/Platform Designer or Xilinx Core Generator/IP Integrator
- Radar systems
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP) fundamentals and FPGA implementation
- MathWorks Matlab, MathWorks Simulink, Xilinx System Generator and/or Altera DSP Builder
- Firmware configuration management
- Experience with using laboratory test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
