The Raytheon Intelligence & Space division of Raytheon Technologies is looking for Test Engineers!

We have career growth opportunities for a Senior Hardware Test Engineer to join our diverse
Test Automation Department (TAD) in our Manufacturing Center in McKinney, TX. This team supports a wide range of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS ) products and customers and is responsible for the design and development of test equipment hardware and software. This is a growing and highly motivated team, providing quality on-time creative and economical test automation solutions.

As a Senior Hardware Test Engineer, your
primary responsibility will be the development of test hardware andto exercise and analyze deliverable products. You will also be responsible for:
  • Hardware responsibilities include conceptual and detailed design of test positions, test adapters, circuit cards, and cables.
  • Hardware integration and post-delivery support of test equipment.
  • Follow established procedures and instructions (IPDS and EIs) while working closely with both program and functional supervision to ensure that overall design objectives are met.
  • Must be able to support inception-to-sunset life cycle efforts including proposal generation, conceptual modeling, design, build support, integration, and sell-off activities.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take ownership of assignments.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to engage customers, partners, and suppliers to achieve results
  • Be able to prioritize actions and effectively communicate when assistance is required.
  • Leadership: Candidate will lead a small team of test Hardware developers through develop/maintenance activities and communicate those activities to program and functional management.

Security Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Required Skills:
  • 6+ years Test Hardware experience
  • Proficient in the design of test consoles, test adapters, and/or test cables
  • Experienced in the integration of test hardware and test software
  • Skilled in the development of test equipment drawings
  • Proficient in the development of test procedures
  • Excellent with troubleshooting of equipment, circuit boards, cables, etc.
  • Experience with planning, conducting, coordinating and managing technical Test Hardware development activities (requirements, design, integration, and validation)
  • Gifted in leading small teams. Will need to lead a team of Test Hardware developers through develop/maintenance activities
  • Excellent communicator with the proven experience communicating to program/functional management regarding test hardware activities
  • Experience with test Hardware proposals, schedule, and cost activities

Desired Skills:
  • Experienced with schematic capture (Mentor Graphics)
  • Currently holds a DoD Secret clearance
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree inElectrical Engineering or other STEM discipline
