We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer with Electro-optical and Infrared Sensor experience to be an important participant on the software integrated product team (IPT). The team provides much-valued Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) experience that develops a state-of-the-art sensor for a mission of vital importance to our nation. As a leading provider of integrated sensor, communication and electronic warfare systems, you will be giving military forces accurate and timely actionable information for the network-centric battlefield. Responsibilities include:
• Participating in the full software lifecycle development (requirements analysis, design, implementation and unit testing, software integration and test, system level integration)
• Performing requirements analysis/definition to ensure system will meet all customer requirements
• Integrating system parameters and software solutions into the real-time system and ensure the functionality of the requirement
• Participating in code and other software artifacts reviews
• Interacting with engineers from other disciplines, such as Systems and Electrical Engineering, to obtain pertinent information required to accomplish tasks
• Technical team leadership to include MTS team oversight
• Ability to manage a workload with excellent resolution analysis skills

Clearance Requirements:
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Work Location:
McKinney, TX

Required Skills:
• Experience supporting and developing real-time embedded software
• Experience developing and/or supporting software with Electro-optical and Infrared Sensor (Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS))
• Experience with C/C++ and Ada programming
• Experience developing real-time embedded SW, preferably in an Agile environment
• Experience using a Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), e.g., VxWorks, Linux, Green Hills (GH) Integrity, Red Hawk
• Agility to support overtime needs for critical program events
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with internal and external customers
• Travel to off-site locations (<10% on average)

Desired Skills:
• An active and in-scope Secret U.S. security clearance
• Expertise in line of sight control, video processing, or camera control
• Experience working with AdaCore and GnatStudio programming languages
• Experience with Agile lifecycle processes to include:
- Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test Driven Development Methodologies
• Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other Real time operating systems
• Experience with Object Oriented (OO) design and Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• Working knowledge of software to include: GIT, JIRA, and Confluence
• Experience with Intel or similar processor, hardware interfaces, and space/airborne sensor systems
• Experience with hardware interfaces and communications within a multi-processor system
• Experience with design, code, integration, and test of real-time systems

Required Education:
8 years of relevant experience and a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM); or 6 years of relevant experience and a MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
