This position is for a senior professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Manufacturing Operations. This role will serve as the face of the operations organization into the value streams. This pivotal position is responsible for the Operations Management of an IPT (Integrated Product Team) to ensure execution of multiple programs. This role encompasses the overall management and participation in all phases of a program life cycle from new business capture through development, production execution and close-out.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Overall management and coordination of manufacturing resources to ensure effective execution of program requirements.

  • Primary interface across Operations & Value streams.

  • Develops manufacturing plans and reports presentations to different levels of the organization

  • Support the IPT teams with emphasis on cost, quality, schedule, safety and performance to specification.

  • Leading integrated teams in the development and implementation of cost and schedule improvements through project planning, team building, and recurring task management.

  • Support the preparation and presentation of weekly/monthly Operations program reviews.

  • Actively utilize Six Sigma as enabler to achieve program commitments, implement best practices.

  • Lead a multi-disciplined team by implementing strong team building and collaboration skills.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

    • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR

    • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

    • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in manufacturing, operations, quality or engineering.

    • Lean manufacturing and management experience.

    • Negotiation, communications and interpersonal skills.

    • Lean, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement experience.

    • Ability to create complex IMS via Microsoft Project.

    • Experience with DFMA, PCAT, Design to Cost and other reducibility tools.
