Job Summary:
The Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) National Team Engineering is actively seeking a Principal Systems Engineer – MBSE in Huntsville, AL. As Principal Systems Engineer, you will participate in a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) environment to develop system-of-systems requirements via system/component trade studies and analysis.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Active Secret is required (Top Secret preferred). Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
•8+ years’ experience working on a Systems Engineering team and be familiar with MBSE tools and techniques.
•Must possess experience working on a DoD or commercial program.
Current Secret Clearance is required.
Required Education (including Major):
Degree and experience in an engineering classification, information systems, mathematics or physics: BS, Master’s or PhD.
Qualifications We Value:
•10+ years’ experience working on a Systems Engineering team and be familiar with MBSE tools and techniques.
•Experience using one or more of the following common MBSE tools: DOORS, UNICOM System Architect, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, etc.
•Systems engineering experience in one-or-more of BMD systems or capabilities similar to: EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, kill vehicles, missiles/interceptors, threats & countermeasures, target discrimination, or command and control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.).
•Experience with large, complex requirements sets
•DOORS System Administration tasks and dxl and/or VBA scripting.
•Ability to think critically and effectively; convey concepts in papers, presentations, and discussions; work both independently and within a small team environment.
•Good communication skills, both verbal and written
