Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to serve as a member of our F119 Field Team supporting the F-22 Raptor operations at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise hourly maintenance personnel in the P&W Jet Engine Intermediate Maintenance shop at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
  • Coordinate F119 propulsion system maintenance activities in the P&W engine shop and flight line operating areas.
  • Provide leadership and direction to hourly personnel with emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communication, managing priorities and resolving conflict.
  • Communicate effectively with local customer, site management, technicians, and supporting team members.  Generate and maintain positive relationships.
  • Communicate with and assist P&W Field Services in resolving technical and logistical problems involving F119 engine operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure high quality maintenance activities are performed in accordance with applicable DOD and P&W Policies and Procedures, including maintenance technical data, quality procedures, and safe engine operation practices.
  • Ensure World Class safety through compliance with EH&S requirements.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives utilizing the CORE operating model
  • Lead investigations involving technician maintenance to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure maintenance capabilities are maintained and improved through management of technician certifications, training, performance assessments, and coaching.
  • Manage the selection, interview, and hiring of technicians.
  • While this is primarily a 1st shift position, this position will supervise 2nd shift personnel and be required to work 2nd shift as needed to manage the team effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or business required.
  • Minimum of 5 years aviation maintenance experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership, relationship management, and conflict resolution required.
  • Ability to obtain a US DoD Secret security clearance within 12 months and maintain
  • US Citizenship required due to Government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • F119 maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated abilities prioritizing and planning for a team
  • Knowledge and experience with P&W Quality policies and procedures
  • Engineering experience
  • US DoD Secret security clearance
  • Experience with Air Force Policies and Procedures
  • Experience leading and implementing continuous improvement
