The Emerging Technology program manager will manage contract and/or internal research and development programs within budget, on schedule, and meeting technical goals. Programs are product development activities leading to prototype infrared camera product offerings and/or processes. The program manager will integrate the performance of the program’s engineering, operations, supply chain, mission assurance and program operations teams. The PM establishes an executable baseline and manages the risks and opportunities of assigned programs. This role will support and present Program Management Reviews and EACs. This position develops and adheres to the program’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP), ensuring program growth and achieving measurable customer satisfaction.

This person will also be responsible for supporting proposal preparation, negotiation and administration of contracts with the customer. This team member is responsible for developing strong customer relationships and develop corrective actions to mitigate customer identified issues and changes to program scope.

Some special projects may also be assigned to this role. For example, improving program efficiencies by establishing production dashboards for the Emerging Technologies portfolio may be preferred.

Program execution to forecasted sales, bookings and profit goals.
Capture and proposal management experience.
Cross-functional technical team guidance
Subcontractor management for technical development efforts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a technical context.

Desired Skills:
Product development resulting in product offerings.
Experience with DoD contracts and programs, especially contract research and development.
Experience integrating imaging components at the system level
Technical experience in III-V materials development, SWIR, digital pixel sensors and/or LADAR receivers.
Experience in Semiconductor Fabrication Techniques

Bachelor of Science in engineering, physics or other related discipline

Desired Education:
BS and/or MS in Engineering or Physics
