Principal Responsibilities:

  • Drive the vision and strategy of our Digital Workplace Support Services to maximize the success of business and enhance the customer experience

  • Provide vision, strategy, and execution for senior leadership to enhance the user experience including project and measurable usage metrics, KPIs and standards

  • Oversee all Support Services, operational leaders and individual contributors, lead them in the strategic development of the services provided and exceed the expectations of the business

  • Develop a strong working relationship with Support Services and Digital personnel across all RTX entities globally

  • Builds successful stakeholder relationships with other DT and business leaders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of DW Support Services to meet those needs

  • Lead a culture of accountability and partnership within the teams and the businesses where ‘how can I help' is the default response

  • Evangelize best practices, behaviors, technical knowledge and process management

  • Identify and outline Support Services projects to support strategic and operational requirements for RTX

  • Develop world-class technology solutions and streamlined processes to enhance the RTX Digital environment and align with the business

  • Establish strong third-party management practices, working closely with sourcing and vendor managers.  Role will require strong partnership with critical enterprise vendors

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce redundancies and decrease vendor pricing

  • Maintain a long-term strategic roadmap for the Support Services to stay current with the business needs and industry trends

  • Provide timely reporting to leadership teams on the operational status and performance of the Support Services globally.

Experience/Skills Required or Preferred:

  • 10+ years of experience managing IT projects preferred

  • 10+ years of managing Support Services for large organizations preferred

  • Demonstrates strong technical aptitude, project management, and communication skills

  • Experience and background working with large and diverse teams to define and execute IT projects

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Highly-motivated, self-directed, and able to effectively lead efforts including the delivery of complex projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Demonstrates proficiency in IT areas of analytical thinking and innovation

  • Demonstrates leadership and collaboration skills, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, environment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and demonstrates ability to perform root cause analyses

  • Able to independently influence and resolve conflicts with others

Education:Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Industry accreditations are Preferred (ITIL)

Required Status:


US Citizen or US Person required as work may involve visibility to ITAR related projects.
