The selected candidate will perform a variety of operations to assemble and align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Required Skills:
• At least 6 years of Assembly experience
• Will perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical, sub/assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations
• Works in assigned manufacturing production department to learn and perform a variety of structural assembly operations, fastener installation, and inspection duties while working from electronic models, manufacturing specifications, procedures, and instructions
• Drill, edge fill, fit and assemble a variety of detail parts and assemblies
• Inspects for proper installations and integrity
• Verifies and stamps acceptable assemblies and rejects assemblies not meeting requirements
• Perform delegated Production Accountability duties associated with the processing, verification, quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling
• Maintains necessary documentation and records
• Refers any unusual problems to supervision
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly
• Willing to work first, second, or third shift
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Desired Skills:

• Prior defense industry experience
• Secret Security Clearance
