The Senior Manager of Cyber Metrics & Analytics Development Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the Analytics and Metrics development team. This is a technical lead role.

The analytics gathered will be used for decision-making, operational management, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reviews and identifying opportunities for improvement of the Cybersecurity organization to meet its goals.

The Candidate will be responsible for leading the software development lifecycle efforts to continue building a robust, sustainable Cyber Security and Risk Management Analytics and Metrics Program including identification of key measurement criteria, analysis of source data, definition of processes to produce metrics, analysis of trends and identification of key data elements. The candidate will require a deep understanding of database administration tasks for MS SQL servers, Azure VM server administration, data reporting and analysis, data visualization and is able to articulate complex information through reports, dashboards and presentations that tell a story. Knowledge of Cyber Security specific data is very helpful.

The position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managed team of developers
  • Support Cyber Metrics environment enhancements as needed
  • Support Database administration activities including DB Maintenance Plan, monitoring for CPU/Memory/Disk Usage in Azure VM servers
  • Support existing automations that includes the following technologies: T-SQL / PL SQL (store procedures), PowerShell, SSIS packages, SQL Jobs, server scheduled tasks and python code (or support developers performing this tasks)
  • Lead development team and their workload
  • Participate in Code Reviews to validate team decisions on architecture/automation for new sources and new dashboards. Keeping a consistent coding standard
  • Participate in troubleshooting, drive metrics gaps and issues to resolution
  • Utilize and maintain a quality SDLC process when creating new dashboards (or enhancements)
  • Provide guidelines and support to development team with initial requirements / design / architecture / automation (decision making)
  • Collaborate with PMO functional areas to develop dashboards and analyze data to better support stakeholders
  • Deploy and maintain the performance measurements and key performance indicators (KPIs), driving alignment with Industry standards and best practices
  • Analyze KPIs and metrices to help drive effective decision making
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality alignment across all functions
  • Manage reporting teams to have efficient and effective metrics, tracking and reporting
  • Implement conceptualized metrics efficiently, effectively and in accordance with RTX business objectives
  • Provide relevant dashboards and reports to the various RTX Cyber Security teams; support by identifying and interpreting trends, causes, variances and issues associated with performance data
  • Independently undertake projects of a complex nature and ad-hoc requests as required

Education

  • Bachelors Degree +10 yrs experience, or Advanced degree +7 yrs experience desired.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience Archer related roles
  • Knowledge on DBA tasks, T-SQL / PL SQL, SSMS, PowerShell, and Archer API
  • Strong analytical problem solving, priority setting, facilitation, and collaboration skills
  • Strong communicator with ability to deal with Cyber Senior Leaders on Archer development and issues
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and lead through influence to accomplish challenging goals & objectives
  • Excellent understanding of document control, update processes and tools
  • Entrepreneurial multi-tasker who can be highly efficient with limited resources
  • Must work well under pressure and have the flexibility to manage multiple demands
