A position is available in the PW1100G-JM / PW1400G-JM Customer Technical Services (CTS) group for a High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Customer Service Engineer.
Our focus is to manage and resolve technical issues for our growing fleet of more than two-thousand PW1100G-JM / PW1400G-JM engines. Your mission is to ensure engine safety, reliability, and to maintain competitive advantage relative to operational parameters such as Delays and Cancellations (D&C’s), In-Flight-Shut-Down (IFSD) rate, reduction of maintenance burden, and support airlines and engine overhaul facilities also known as Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO)
The CTS engineer works directly with airline customers and engine overhaul facilities and teams up with their respective CIPT to:
Understand and implement corrective action for engine related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul
Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines
Initiate technical data development of documentation for engine/module piece part inspection and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Engine Maintenance Manuals (EMM).
Coordinate with the technical publications organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications issues related to HPC hardware.
Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
This position requires flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and ability to multi-task across several engine disciplines throughout engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience of how a high bypass turbo-fan jet operates or 3+ years with an advance degree
- US Citizenship
- Masters degree in business or engineering
- Familiarity with drafting and updates of various technical documentation utilized by airline customers and MROs
- General knowledge of the PW1100G-JM gas turbine engines
- Specific experience in Engine Test, Design, Overhaul or Repair
- Understanding of Line Maintenance / engine overhaul practices
- Experience in customer service and support
- Interpersonal and team player qualities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
