This position will partner with paralegals, developers, program managers and vendors to design, deploy and support legal technology tools and applications. This technical leader will be expected to engage with internal and external business partners to execute projects, propose design options, work with business and technical teams to implement new solutions or enhance existing processes. The successful candidate is expected to operate in a hybrid environment, both business and technical, to drive projects to completion within scope, time and budget boundaries.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and collaborate with team members the technical implementation of applications that support legal technology.
  • Provide technical hands-on support to administer, install, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate production-related issues.
  • Serve as technical point of contact to deliver IT solutions for legal applications based on defined architecture and requirements.
  • Maintain system and company security while ensuring IT security compliance with company policies, external regulatory requirements, technical standards, and best business practices
  • Basic understanding of cloud security architectures, network security, firewall and industry standards (CMMC, DFARS, NIST, FedRAMP).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to support home-grown and commercial-off-the-shelf applications.  
  • Strong organization, prioritization and project management skills.

Qualifications: 

  • University Degree in a related field (software engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent) & minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience preferred
  • Relevant experience in enterprise application development, deployment, and support.
  • Organizational, oral and written communications skills.
  • Must have2+ years of experience working with TCP/IP networking principles.
  • Must have 2+ years of experience with troubleshooting complex security and network layers.
  • Must have experience with Project Management Lifecycle.
  • Must be able to independently own, lead and drive projects to completion.
  • Must be a team player willing to engage and work with other team members.
  • Must be able to professionally frame risk management decisions, and work with leadership to determine the best course of action for securely moving the business forward.
  • Must be able to professionally communicate security concerns and positions to technical and non-technical audiences.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in SQL and PowerShell.
  • Prior experience supporting corporate applications with emphasis on legal technology.
