This position is in the Central Commodity Engineered Items Team supporting the Landing Systems Business Unit. Preferred location is Troy, OH; but can be any Collin's Domestic location. The Experienced Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing professional, will lead strategy development & execution, supplier selection, contract negotiation & management and oversee Key Strategic Supplier Relationships. Responsible for partnering with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop, implement and improve sourcing strategy.

This individual can sit onsite at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and executes commodity / account management and strategic sourcing strategy

  • Evaluates and selects suppliers based on capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness

  • Negotiates and awards contracts within specified spending limits, and develops new qualified sources of supply

  • Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to manage sourcing needs, improve sourcing strategy and develop cost saving projects

  • Analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules

  • Develops a strategic plans for a commodity or a strategic supplier

  • Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across the commodity

  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature and ensures commercial compliance

  • Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed UTC requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Must be willing and able to travel 25%-35% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business or Aerospace related experience

  • Technical Engineering experience

  • SAP Experience

  • Project Management Experience

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

  • Ability to handle multiple customers and priorities with limited oversight from supervision

  • Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams if necessary
