The software engineer will develop, design and test according to the objectives of DO-178C for certification on airborne systems with minimal supervision. The software engineer tasks include the following:
Draft planning artifacts
Occasionally, interface with external customers
Requirement generation, design and architecture development, coding, integration, verification, validation, and document for existing and new safety critical products.
Conducts tests and performs debugs of control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Source code developed in C-programming language
Conduct software verification in accordance to RTCA DO-178C
Execution of development process is in accordance to RTCA DO-178C, for new safety critical products.
Software and hardware system integration tasks on target hardware
Model-Base Design techniques used in the development life cycle process.
Additional tasks may include:
Develop software tools written in C, C#, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
6 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
MS/BS in Engineering/Computer Science Degree
Proficient in C-programming language
Model-Based Design experience using MATLAB/Simulink/Polyspace
National Instrument test stand development experience
