Role Overview

This position is for a professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Program and product line management.  Sets strategic direction for product lines including implementation of new products and operational plans to deliver sales and earnings growth targets.  Responsible for the entire value chain from suppliers to the customer including profit and loss.

The successful candidate will lead the Temperature and Speed Sensing value stream, delivering products to existing customers and plotting the strategic roadmap for these products, which are used in commercial and military jet engines under increasingly demanding thermal and environmental conditions. This role will have a strong focus on product line optimization as well as organic business growth through existing and new relationships with strategic customers.  Strong candidates will have experience in aerospace in a technical leadership capacity and will understand the technical basis jet engine operation and the sensor applications to support their control systems.  This individual will be accountable for the full lifecycle of products and services encompassed in the value stream including pursuit, order capture, design and development, production, service/support and long term strategic plans.  As the chair of an integrated product or project team (IPT), this individual will have P/L responsibility for assigned major programs, customer satisfaction and growth in alignment with strategic plans.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • As the value stream leader, this individual has accountability for all aspects of the Temperature and Speed Sensing product line

  • As a formal leader in the Rosemount Aerospace business, advance the culture of diversity, equity and inclusion

  • Leader of the cross functional Integrated Product Team, including engineering, operations, quality assurance, planning and supply chain.

  • Exercise technical acuity and an understanding of engine sensing equipment, production methods, development processes and support methodologies

  • Build strong and extensive working relationships internally and externally

  • Develop and execute plans to continue the value stream’s relentless drive to zero defects

  • Works closely with all those involved in the Value Stream to ensure that orders, sales, and profit are forecasted correctly and that sales, inventory and profitability goals are met

  • New product introduction responsibilities include cost, schedule, technical performance, risk management, product support, manufacturing, and quality of all assigned product lines

  • Manage supplier relationships in coordination with Subcontracts Management, and manage obsolescence to ensure continued production of products

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
