The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is looking for Systems Engineers to support several programs. You will support the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. You will provide clarification of requirements to software agile development teams, integration and test personnel, performs system engineering analyses including trade studies, use case development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification and supports planning / development and interfaces with personnel from other organizations. The Systems Engineer attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel, and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of their project, provides status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required and provides document review and resolves technical systems engineering and integration issues. Additionally the Systems Engineer supports Engineer Change Process efforts as desired. In additional to program efforts the candidate may be asked to support various proposal efforts. This candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience with a track record of results
  • Thorough understanding of the Systems Engineering development lifecycle and change management process
  • Experience in systems engineering functions for any or all: operations concept development, System and product design, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working in a requirements management tool (DOORs)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Current active Top Secret clearance

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $7,500 for a candidate with a current TS/SCI clearance with that can be verified and hired at RIS.


Desired Skills:
  • Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
  • Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD
  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations
  • Experience with Ground equipment/Radio Frequency (RF) equipment
  • Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation
  • Experience in Systems Engineering process development and deployment
  • Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Enterprise Architect and JIRA or similar tools
  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Integration and Verification teams
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems/EVMS
  • Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required. STEM degree is preferred. Along with 2+ years’ of relevant experience - OR
  • Master’s Degree STEM preferred with 0+ years’ of relevant experience

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $63,300 to $110,800; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
