The Deputy Chief Project Engineer collaborates on the Power & Controls, Engine Control Systems (ECS) engineering efforts for the Pratt & Whitney Next Generation Product Family (NGPF).
The Deputy Chief has opportunity to work with Collins’ engineering functions and coordinate with Value Stream Leadership and Pratt & Whitney to deliver technical solutions to delight our customers.
Technical execution of engineering activities for programs within the Value Stream.
Represent Engineering in the Large Commercial Engines NGPF Value Stream
Provide leadership and guidance to Project Engineering
Manage overall program milestones though tracking and providing execution communication
Coordinate overall program technical communications
Ensure technical scope changes are coordinated with the Value Stream Leaders
Communicate effectively to Value Stream team, Senior Management and Pratt & Whitney
Drive world class reliability through fleet monitoring and field investigations / Relentless Root Cause & Corrective Action activities
Maintain fleet reliability metrics.
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Experience in Project Engineering or Program Management
Experience in design, development and certification of control system hardware
