Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines F135 Sustainment is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented International Fleet Operations Manager with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to lead a team of Field Support Engineers (FSEs) and Mechanics in support of F135 international customers. Ensures that FSEs and Mechanics at international sites are meeting customer expectations and are abiding by appropriate UTC/PW policies and the country specific TAA.  This highly unique position within Sustainment is a customer facing role in a high visibility and cross functional environment from the flight line to the Joint Program Office and integrating with all major PW operational functions that support the F135 program. A successful candidate will have the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with customers, partners and internal organizations.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, ALIS teams) to assist FSEs and the units that they support in troubleshooting and resolution of emerging customer issues and maintain flexibility to resolve constantly changing customer priorities.
  • Develop and train team of FSEs to reach their career growth potential and effectiveness, drive engagement within the team
  • Periodic Site calls and visits to provide oversight and ensure compliance of ITC and Global Mobility issues and concerns
  • Manage EHS Training categorization in SAP and ensure annual training is completed.
  • Participate as member of F135 Field Operations Business Council
  • Participate in ME Safety and Field Ops Committee Meetings
  • Conduct EHS site risk assessments
  • Execute FSE Qualification/Training
  • Conduct TCP audit/renewals at International unit level and Aircraft FACOs
  • Ensure customer feedback is received on a regular basis and that records are tracked to ensure we can keep trends on customer satisfaction
  • Conduct TDY coordination/support
  • Coordinate Fleet Management plans/CFT support
  • Assist FSEs and LPMs with deployment planning and coordination
  • Coordinate and track EXPAT assignments
  • Coordinate Maintenance awareness briefs
  • Participate on Travel Risk Management Team/Evacuation Procedures

Do you have the experience to join our team?


  • BS/BA degree required.  

Do you meet these Basic Qualifications?

  • BS/BA degree required.  
  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance

Or these Preferred Qualifications?

  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of TAAs, ITC/ITAR Requirements
  • F135 familiarity: Fleet Operations & Fleet Management, Supply Chain Management, Support Equipment Management, HPSI structure, PBL contracting & requirements process, Taxes Tariffs and Duties with respect to GAM.
  • Previous F135 FSE experience
